Some of the things that you should definitely avoid while cleaning the wallpapers are the abrasive
materials, cleaners that contain bleach, and the abrasive cleaners too. Also, make sure that you do not
scrub the wallpapers with the metallic scrubber. It may damage the wallpaper completely. Even if you are
using a metallic wall paper, do not clean it with a metallic scrubber.
Basic Cleaning Tips
Your wallpaper supplier will also provide you with the cleaning guide or the instructions before the
installation. Make sure that you read the cleaning instructions carefully before you choose a cleaning
material for the wallpaper. Choosing the wrong cleaning agent can damage the looks of the wallpaper
irreversibly. Following the guide will help you maintain the looks and durability of the wallpaper. For
instance, if you have opted for the  metallic wall paper, read the cleaning tips and then clean
it accordingly.
Before you start the cleaning of the wallpaper, test it first by cleaning a small and rather

cleaning will steal the texture from the surface making the wallpaper look old and worn out sooner
than you expected.
If there are stains on the non-washable wallpaper, you can use an eraser or dry cleaning sponge to
remove the dust, dirt, and debris.
